Start with function, then confirm the route

Moulded component

Define shape, mating geometry, compound or service conditions.

Include hardness, flash and sample acceptance.

Extruded profile

Share the cross-section, cut length and sealing or fit requirement.

Clarify joints, adhesive and end finishing.

Bonded or inserted part

Identify the rubber, insert, interface and loading conditions.

Agree bonding and functional acceptance checks.

What does the component need to do?

Seal an interface

Share mating geometry, installed compression, pressure, media and temperature. Define leak or functional acceptance where required.

Protect or flex

Share cable or shaft dimensions, movement envelope, flexing cycles, contaminants and temperature. Define fit and allowable surface defects.

Isolate or carry load

Share load direction, static and dynamic loads, deflection or stiffness needs and attachment geometry. Identify any bond-strength checks.

Application prompts help define the RFQ. They are not a design validation or a guarantee of service life.

Images illustrate component families; they are not evidence of completed BGS production projects.

Evidence for your source review

Certifications, Approvals
& Documentation

Match the evidence to the proposed manufacturer, product and market. Include your requirements in the RFQ so the relevant records can be requested and checked during source evaluation.

Manufacturer certifications

Identify the certificate holder and actual manufacturing facility. Review the standard, certified scope, issuing body and validity for the proposed source.

Applies to the named manufacturer or facility.

Product approvals

Where applicable, identify the covered product/model, configuration, market and approval or file reference. Confirm that the proposed item falls within the documented scope.

Applies to the identified product and approval scope.

Define the documentation you need.

Identify the compound, hardness and required test methods or declarations. Compound data alone does not establish finished-part approval.

Discuss Documentation

Compound selection starts with exposure

Same shape.
Different service conditions.

Polymer family and hardness are starting points. Specify the compound grade where fixed, or describe the operating environment for manufacturer review and buyer approval.

EPDM

Often considered for weathering, ozone and water exposure. Confirm the actual fluids, temperature and compound suitability.

NBR

Often considered for oil and grease exposure. Compatibility varies with the media, formulation and operating conditions.

Silicone / FKM

Considered for selected temperature and environmental requirements. Specify the media and exact performance needs.

CR / NR / SBR / other

Define resilience, abrasion, flexibility and environmental demands. Any proposed family or substitute needs review.

The inputs that change the decision

Describe the environment
as carefully as the part.

Compatibility must be evaluated for the actual compound and service conditions. Do not select a seal solely from a generic polymer label.

Temperature
Minimum, maximum, continuous duty and short excursions.
Media & exposure
Fluids, concentrations, cleaning agents and contact duration.
Mechanical duty
Static or moving contact, pressure, compression, load and cycles.
Material & acceptance
Compound specification, hardness scale and tolerance, colour and required test criteria.

Control the definition before tooling

The sample must prove
the agreed requirement.

Review part geometry, compound behaviour and tooling together. Keep proposed drawing changes, sample checks and production-release responsibilities explicit.

Existing sample or tool?

Identify what must match. Share tool ownership, location, condition and available records; transfer and trial requirements need source review.

Drawing & interfaces
Revision, units, critical dimensions, mating geometry, sealing faces and installed condition.
Tooling & process
Mould or die status, inserts, parting-line constraints, flash limits and finishing needs.
Sample validation
Agree dimensions, hardness, appearance, fit, bond or joint checks and any required functional testing.
Approval & repeat supply
Record the approved revision, compound, sample reference, production quantity, packing and inspection basis.
Agree these sample checks before production release

Part definition

Verify the agreed drawing revision, critical dimensions, flash or trim condition and mating fit. Define measurement conditions where relevant.

Compound evidence

Identify required compound records and hardness checks. Specify any compression-set, ageing or media tests with methods and limits.

Functional approval

Agree who validates sealing, movement, stiffness, joints or bonds. Record the approved sample and any remaining actions before release.

Compare offers on the same basis.

Separate tooling, trials, samples and recurring part prices. Keep compound, finished condition, quantity, test requirements, packing and freight assumptions consistent across quotations.

Define acceptance with the quotation

Inspection follows
the component brief.

Specify the checks that matter to the part’s function. Required test methods, limits, conditions and records belong in the agreed order scope.

Compound & records

Confirm the specified compound, hardness requirements and agreed traceability or material records.

Dimensions & finish

Agree critical dimensions, profile section, flash, trimming and cosmetic acceptance.

Fit & function

Define sealing, compression, movement, bond or assembly tests where required; confirm who performs them.

Finished supply

Specify jointing, cut lengths, identification, protective packing and destination documents.

Agree the purchasing and inspection route.

For orders placed on BGS, every unit is inspected against agreed criteria. For direct orders on a manufacturer, the inspection and coordination scope is agreed separately. This does not mean every characteristic is measured or every unit is laboratory tested.

One coordinated enquiry

Keep technical choices
connected to purchasing.

Bhuvika Global Solutions, a trade name of S.B. Enterprises, is the sourcing and coordination contact. The selected manufacturing partner makes the component.

Define

Share the geometry, application, compound and demand. Mark what is fixed and what remains open.

Evaluate

Coordinate manufacturer review of process, tooling, samples and commercial assumptions.

Approve

Agree the source, specification, sample checks and production-release conditions.

Coordinate

Follow the agreed inspection, identification, packing and dispatch scope.

Practical buyer questions

Resolve the assumptions
before you order.

Is BGS a rubber manufacturer?

Bhuvika Global Solutions (BGS), a trade name of S.B. Enterprises, coordinates sourcing through suitable Indian manufacturing partners. Manufacturing processes, compound availability and any required approvals are confirmed for the selected component, source and order.

Can you help when the compound is not specified?

Share the application, temperature range, media and concentrations, exposure duration, movement or compression and expected life requirements. BGS can coordinate manufacturer feedback. A proposed compound or substitute requires your technical approval and validation against the actual service conditions.

Can you work from an existing sample?

A sample, photographs or profile section can start the discussion. Agree the production drawing, compound, hardness and acceptance criteria before release. Appearance or a hardness reading alone does not identify the original compound or establish equivalent performance.

What hardness and tolerances can you supply?

Send the specified hardness scale, target and tolerance, along with critical dimensions and inspection conditions. Feasibility depends on the compound, geometry, process and selected manufacturer. A Shore A value alone does not define sealing, resilience or compatibility.

Can profiles be cut, joined or supplied with adhesive?

Cut lengths, joined rings, corners, adhesive backing, inserts and other finishing operations can be evaluated. Define the finished geometry, joint requirements, adhesive substrate and operating conditions so the complete supply scope can be reviewed.

Can I request compliance records or test reports?

Yes. Name the exact standard, test method, acceptance values and documentation required. Compound data or a material declaration does not automatically prove finished-part compliance. Availability, test scope, cost and responsibilities are agreed before ordering.

What are the minimum quantity, tooling cost and lead time?

These depend on the geometry, compound availability, process, tooling status, trials and order quantity. Separate sample quantities, batch demand and expected annual volume in your RFQ. MOQ, tooling terms and timing are confirmed in the quotation for the selected source.

Choose your starting point

A clear next step,
wherever your project stands.

Send the available information and identify open decisions. The next step is a requirement review, with missing inputs clarified before manufacturer evaluation.

Include the current drawing, compound, hardness, quantities and acceptance requirements.

Review Your Rubber Drawing

Reference sample only

Send photographs, key dimensions, application conditions and sample availability. The production specification still needs agreement.

Discuss Your Reference Part
