Evidence for your source review

Certifications, Approvals
& Documentation

Match the evidence to the proposed manufacturer, product and market. Include your requirements in the RFQ so the relevant records can be requested and checked during source evaluation.

Manufacturer certifications

Identify the certificate holder and actual manufacturing facility. Review the standard, certified scope, issuing body and validity for the proposed source.

Applies to the named manufacturer or facility.

Product approvals

Where applicable, identify the covered product/model, configuration, market and approval or file reference. Confirm that the proposed item falls within the documented scope.

Applies to the identified product and approval scope.

Define the documentation you need.

Identify the resin grade, finished-part requirements and relevant test records. A material declaration alone does not establish finished-part approval.

Discuss Documentation

Specify more than a polymer name

Material choice starts
with service conditions.

Supply the exact resin grade when fixed. If open, explain the application so the proposed material can be reviewed and approved against the actual requirement.

ABS / PC / PC blends

Define impact, temperature, appearance and any electrical or flame-performance requirements.

PA / POM / reinforced grades

Clarify load, wear, moisture exposure, dimensional needs and reinforcement.

PP / PE / PVC

Specify grade, rigidity or flexibility, chemical exposure, service conditions and process.

TPE / TPU / other polymers

Define hardness, flexibility, contact materials and environmental requirements.

Grade, colour and finish belong in the same brief.

Confirm virgin or permitted recycled content, colour reference, texture, cosmetic surfaces and any approved equivalents. Performance varies by grade, additives, geometry and processing; suitability must be assessed for the application.

Before the tool is released

Agree the definition.
Approve the sample.

Keep development decisions visible before committing to repeat supply. BGS coordinates the discussion between the buyer and selected manufacturing source.

Existing tool or new development?

State ownership, location and condition for an existing mould or die. For new tooling, agree the cost, ownership, maintenance and sample-release basis.

Part definition
Drawing revision, units, CAD model, mating parts and critical functional dimensions.
Tooling assumptions
Cavities, inserts, gating and cosmetic constraints, expected demand and proposed changes requiring buyer approval.
Sample acceptance
Agreed resin, colour, dimensions, appearance and fit or functional checks; define approval responsibility and records.
Production release
Approved revision and sample reference, order quantities, inspection criteria, identification, packaging and destination.
Before tooling: five drawing details worth resolving

Wall sections & ribs

Identify thick-to-thin transitions, ribs and bosses for manufacturer review. Avoid adopting a generic wall thickness without considering resin and function.

Draft & undercuts

Discuss demoulding direction, draft and undercuts with the proposed toolmaker. Tooling changes and any geometry revisions need buyer approval.

Functional dimensions

Mark mating features, critical dimensions and tolerances. Clarify the measurement condition where moisture or temperature may affect acceptance.

Appearance boundaries

Identify visible faces, texture and colour references, and allowable gate, ejector or parting-line marks.

Inserts & overmoulds

Define insert grade, location and retention needs. Review material compatibility, interface function and assembly acceptance.

A clear basis for acceptance

Inspect against what
has been agreed.

Define the checks with the quotation, including which dimensions, cosmetic features, material records or functional tests are required.

Controlled specification

Use one approved drawing revision, resin grade, colour and sample reference.

Part acceptance

Agree dimensions, flash, warpage, surface appearance and fit checks relevant to the component.

Required evidence

Specify resin declarations, traceability or test reports and confirm their availability and scope.

Supply preparation

Confirm protective packing, batch identification, assembly needs and shipping documentation.

How the purchasing route affects inspection

For orders placed on BGS, every unit is inspected against agreed criteria. For direct orders on a manufacturer, the inspection and coordination scope is agreed separately. This does not imply every feature is measured or every part is laboratory tested.

One coordinated enquiry

From the first reference
to an agreed supply plan.

Keep technical decisions, quotation assumptions and purchasing responsibilities connected throughout the enquiry.

Define

Share the part, application, material and quantity. Identify what is fixed and what is open.

Review

Coordinate manufacturer feasibility and clarify tooling, samples and commercial assumptions.

Approve

Agree the source, revision, sample criteria and production-release conditions.

Coordinate

Follow the agreed inspection, packing and dispatch scope for the order.

Practical buyer questions

Resolve the assumptions
before the quotation.

Is BGS a plastic manufacturer?

Bhuvika Global Solutions (BGS), a trade name of S.B. Enterprises, coordinates sourcing through suitable Indian manufacturing partners. Manufacturer capability, materials, tooling and acceptance requirements are confirmed for the selected source and order.

Can I start without a final resin grade?

Share the application, load, temperature range, chemical exposure, electrical needs and appearance requirements. BGS can coordinate manufacturer feedback. Any proposed grade or substitute needs your technical approval; a polymer family name alone does not define performance.

Can you quote from a sample or 3D model?

A sample, model or photographs can start the review. Quotations and production release also need an agreed part definition: dimensions, critical tolerances, resin grade, colour, finish and acceptance criteria. Identify any features that must match the existing part.

Can you use an existing mould or extrusion die?

Share tooling drawings, ownership and location, condition, production history and any known machine requirements. Compatibility, transfer arrangements, maintenance and trial requirements must be reviewed with the proposed manufacturer before a commitment.

What are the minimum quantity, lead time and tooling cost?

These depend on part geometry, material availability, process, tooling condition, cavities, trials and order quantity. Separate tooling, sample and production quantities in the RFQ. MOQ, timing and commercial assumptions are confirmed in the quotation.

Can I require flame resistance, compliance or inspection records?

Specify the exact standard, grade, test method and records needed. Material declarations do not automatically establish finished-part compliance. Availability, evidence, testing responsibility and acceptance scope are agreed before ordering.

Choose your starting point

You do not need every answer
to start the review.

Send the available information and flag what remains open. We’ll clarify the missing inputs before progressing the manufacturer review.

Drawing ready

Include the current drawing and model, resin grade, quantities and acceptance requirements. Identify fixed specifications and permitted alternatives.

Review Your Drawing

Sample or reference only

Share photographs, dimensions, the application and sample availability. Identify the features that must match; the production definition will need agreement.

Discuss Your Reference Part

Existing mould or die

Include tool ownership, location, condition and production history, with part drawings and demand. Compatibility and trial requirements need review.

Review Your Existing Tool

Compare quotations on the same basis.

Keep resin grade, revision, colour, quantity and acceptance scope consistent. Separate tooling, trials, samples, recurring part costs, packing and freight assumptions. Confirm what requires buyer approval before release.
