Industrial Manufacturing · India sourcing

Engineering component sourcing from India.

Built-to-print sourcing from India for machined, cast, fabricated, moulded and extruded components, tooling and assemblies.

Choose the manufacturing route around geometry, material, tolerance and volume. BGS coordinates selected manufacturers, tooling and sample feedback for new components, localisation and recurring OEM production.

Start with the information you have. Mark open inputs as “to confirm”.

Industry applications

Engineering components, defined for production.

Use the equipment or end application to explain the requirement. These examples describe enquiry scope; suitability follows the actual product, source and specification.

Industrial machinery

Machined, cast, fabricated and moulded production components.

Automation & control equipment

Precision parts, enclosures, hardware and equipment interfaces.

Engineered systems

Metal, plastic, rubber and assembled components against a controlled BOM.

Material handling

Brackets, shafts, housings and structural or functional parts.

Process equipment

Drawing-based components for manufacturing and process systems.

OEM localisation

Alternate India-based sources and repeat production after approval.

Your starting point

Development, replacement
or recurring supply.

Open the brief closest to your requirement. Establish the current technical definition, approval status and work still needed.

A new drawing-based component

Send the current drawing and model, material, critical features and expected volume. Identify design decisions still open for manufacturer feedback.

Localisation or an alternate source

Share the controlled specification, sample status and reason for the sourcing change. Identify which requirements must remain fixed.

Recurring OEM production

Define the approved revision, order pattern, packaging, traceability and repeat-order inspection requirements. Confirm change-control responsibilities.

A shared basis for review

Choose the process
around the complete part.

Compare the specification, offered configuration and supporting evidence together. Record technical differences and required approvals before release.

Representative enquiries

Turn the requirement into a useful RFQ.

Start with the information available. These examples show which technical and commercial details help the manufacturer review the scope.

CNC machined or conductive part

2D/STEP file, alloy, GD&T, critical dimensions, finish and batch/annual volume.

Casting or sheet-metal part

Model/drawing, alloy or sheet thickness, machining, welding, coating and quantity.

Moulding or extrusion

Drawing/cross-section, polymer or compound, hardness, colour, length and tool status.

Tooling or assembly

Part drawing/BOM, cavities, tool life, ownership, assembly instructions and sample approval.

Manufacturing route

Connect the process to the complete part.

A drawing starts the review. Material, accuracy, finishing, volume and validation determine the manufacturing assumptions and commercial scope.

Materials & geometry
Aluminium, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, engineering polymers and elastomers. Define grade, wall thickness, geometry and functional features.
Process & finish
CNC turning/milling, die casting, laser cutting, bending, welding, moulding and extrusion. State machining, plating, anodising, powder coating and surface roughness requirements.
Dimensions & tooling
GD&T, flatness, concentricity and critical dimensions; prototype or production tooling, cavities, expected tool life, maintenance and ownership.
Validation & volume
Samples, material certificates, agreed tests and PPAP/customer documentation where applicable. Include prototype, batch and annual demand, packaging and Incoterm.

From application to agreed supply

From technical brief
to agreed supply.

A shared technical and commercial brief helps each source review the same requirement and keeps approval decisions traceable.

Define the duty

Review drawings, specifications, application, material and expected quantities.

Review the source

Review the process, tooling, capacity, quality requirements and commercial assumptions.

Approve the basis

Agree sample checks, material/function evidence, technical changes and production release.

Coordinate supply

Coordinate production follow-up, agreed inspection, records, packing and planned dispatch.

Purchasing & inspection

Agree the route.
Define the responsibilities.

The order route establishes who supplies commercially and which coordination and inspection activities are included.

Order placed on BGS

Orders placed on BGS follow the agreed supply scope. Every unit is inspected against agreed criteria.

Agree the specification, inspection methods, acceptance criteria and required records before ordering.

Direct manufacturer order

The manufacturer supplies the buyer directly. BGS inspection and coordination are agreed separately.

Confirm scope, access, reporting, fees and release responsibilities for the engagement.

Practical buyer questions

Before you send
the requirement.

Use the application to define the enquiry. Product suitability and the engagement scope are reviewed separately.

Can I start with a model or an existing component?

Yes. Share the available model, sample or reference and explain its function. A controlled drawing, material definition and acceptance criteria may still be needed before a useful production offer.

Does BGS own all manufacturing facilities?

No. BGS coordinates sourcing and agreed supply activities through selected manufacturers. Process capability and responsibilities are reviewed for the specific requirement.

Can one RFQ cover metal, plastic and rubber parts?

Yes. A structured BOM with drawing revisions and quantities helps coordinate the relevant manufacturing processes and compare the proposed scope.

Is tooling ownership included automatically?

No. Ownership, permitted use, maintenance, storage and handover are agreed in the development and commercial terms. State your requirements before approval.

Does sample approval replace production inspection?

No. Sample approval is a defined milestone. Current technical data, production controls, inspection coverage and release responsibilities must also be agreed.
